It is an all-natural product, made from fermented shrimp. The fermentation process is usually carried out gradually and the end result is a solluble paste usually sold as blocs. It is precisely this paste that represents the source for our highly concentrated belachan powder extract.

Originally, belachan was nothing else than an Asian kitchen spice, which, much like many other similar products, eventually found a home in carpfishing.

Belachan is an unrivalled source of predisgeted, solluble marine proteins. The Belachan extract has a distinctly salty taste, a strong crustacean smell and a very pungent flavor.

Use in boilies it immediately impregnates its very specific smell, or, if used in small doses, it greatly enhances other marine flavors. Its great attraction properties are attributed by anglers also to the high does of N-Butyric acyd it contains, as a result of the fermentation process.

Our concentrated extract can be safely and successfully used with fishmeal and birdfood base mixes.
