Aniseed is one of the oldest flavors to have ever been used in carp fishing and it continues to be highly efficient despite having fallen somewhat out of fashion when compared to something like Squid & Octopus. As a historical titbit - Izzak Walton talks about this flavor in his classic "The Compleat Angler" written in 1676! The Aniseed flavor is particularly efficient with particles and birdfood base mixes. It works well both for common and grass carp. Goes along well with nutritional liquids such as CSL. Insider tip - not many anglers today know that it works wonders as a secondary flavor, alongside spices in particular, in both boilies and high attraction pop ups. Recommended dose: 5-10ml per kilogram of base mix.
