The fabric is highly stretch-active, engineered with a greater degree of vertical stretch than horizontal — commonly referred to as a 4-Way Stretch construction. This characteristic is particularly important in a fishing context, as it allows complete freedom of movement when lifting the leg over obstacles, crouching at the water's edge or sitting for extended periods, without the fabric resisting or restricting natural body movement.

The outer surface carries a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, shedding light moisture effectively — the trousers will not wet through when walking through dew-covered grass or in light drizzle conditions.

The fabric provides UPF 50+ ultraviolet protection, the highest rating within standard textile classifications, shielding the skin from harmful solar radiation during prolonged outdoor exposure.

The material structure promotes excellent breathability, efficiently wicking perspiration away from the skin during periods of physical exertion (Quick Dry), while also allowing body heat to dissipate freely outward, maintaining a comfortable cool sensation throughout the day (Cooling Effect).

Multiple pockets are positioned thoughtfully across the garment for practical organisation of tackle accessories and personal items: two hip pockets, two thigh-level pockets at the knee and one rear pocket. The hip pockets and rear pocket are lined internally with mesh, providing ventilation when open. All pocket zips are fitted with cord pullers for ease of operation with wet or gloved hands.

An elasticated waistband ensures a comfortable, adaptable fit across a range of body shapes, and dedicated belt loops are included for those who prefer to wear a belt.
