Cranberry is a universal flavor that pairs well with any type of boilie. Alongside Strawberry, it is one of the oldest and most effective fruit flavors used in boilie fishing. It has fast-acting attraction and triggers an immediate response from the fish.
Like other fruit flavors, Cranberry is often included in fishmeal-based boilies. The combination of the strong smell of fish, crustacean, or meat meals with the fresh scent of Cranberry might seem unusual, but it’s a classic, time-tested mix. Anglers also appreciate it in birdfoods or milk protein-based boilies, especially when combined with a fruit palatant and 1–2ml of Thaumatin.
Another interesting aspect of the Cranberry flavor is that it’s often used as a secondary aroma, alongside a fish or crustacean flavor, to give the bait a more complex scent profile. Of course, you can also try it as a primary flavor. If you want to add a few drops of essential oil, use Black Pepper Oil. Use high doses of flavor only if you're aiming for fast attraction in short sessions. For larger fish, medium to long sessions, or baiting campaigns, stick to low doses.
Select Baits uses this flavor in its MEAT & FISH + Squid & Octopus & Cranberry boilie.
Recommended dosage: 5–10ml/kg of base mix.
