Who we are?
The Select Baits story begins somewhere around 2010, after years of developing our own carp fishing bait recipes, experimenting with various ingredients that were difficult to source at the time. That was when we decided to share the recipes that were working for us with other anglers.
That is how the boilie recipes now known as Meat & Fish, Hot Fish, and Mussel & Belachan were born — recipes that have accounted for thousands of carp and will, without doubt, continue to reward carp anglers for many seasons to come.
Why are we so confident? Because the Select Baits philosophy has been, from the very beginning, the use of quality ingredients in quantities sufficient to deliver a genuine attraction effect in the water. Nature leaves no room for shortcuts. Carp — and fish in general — quickly recognise a bait that offers no nutritional value. You may tempt them with a highly attractive hookbait, but you will not hold them in your swim during extended fishing sessions. That is where bait quality becomes decisive: fish gradually gather over the baited area and your catch rate builds from one day to the next.
Over the long term, bait quality proves its worth. And there is one more principle we hold firmly: we do not change what works. Although the original recipes have undergone minor adjustments over the years — primarily because certain ingredients were discontinued by suppliers — we have always remained committed to preserving the same balanced, nutrient-rich profile we started with.
The years passed and we continued to broaden our range, growing from bait into rods, landing nets, and a variety of accessories and equipment for carp and specimen anglers.
In 2025, we made the move into feeder fishing. Alongside our bait offer — groundbaits, pellets, hookbaits, and more — which forms the foundation of any credible brand in this discipline, Select Baits brings a horizontally developed product portfolio: feeder rods, landing net handles, landing net heads, unhooking mats, mainline, rig accessories, hooks, and ready-tied rigs.
In short: everything we do is rooted in our passion for fishing. Every product in our range has been tested and has passed through our own filter — the filter of anglers. That filter comes down to one simple question: is this product worth its price? Would we buy it ourselves?
Today, the fishing tackle market is vast. For any product there are alternatives, at every price point and for every preference. Even so, there is a sweet spot — a zone where the price paid for a product is as close as possible to its real value. We do not aim to be the cheapest. Nor, of course, the most expensive.
What we do believe, however, is that the quality and performance of our products deliver more than we ask for them.
Thank you for your trust!
